Be Still And Know

SOS -- Emergency Situations -- Feb. 15, 2012

We praise you, our heavenly Father, for your great love. Because You have demonstrated your care for us, we cast all our anxiety on You. You know how to rescue godly men and women from trials.

In this we greatly rejoice, though now for a little while some may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that their faith — of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire — may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

May we as believers consider it pure joy whenever we face trials of many kinds, because we know that the testing of our faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that we may be mature and complete, not lacking anything ...

Help us remember that our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. Help us fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

You have said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we can say with confidence that the LORD is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Please pray for: Protection of the BSF classes and class members in Nigeria.
