2 Corinthians 10
In today's passage, Paul reminds us that we are in spiritual warfare. But he also reminds us that we are not in the battle unarmed. The Lord has equipped us abundantly with His spiritual weapons -- His Word, His Holy Spirit, prayer -- to lead in the cause of Christ in the world.
"The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." -- 2 Corinthians 10:4-6
2 Corinthians 8-9
In today's passage, Paul encourages cheerful giving. Can you think of a time when you gave cheerfully and what God gave you in return?
"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." -- 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
