News from Headquarters
Share Day
Many BSF classes ended their study of Genesis this week with Share Days/Nights. This came to us from Ellen, the Children's Supervior for the Evening Women's class in Bryan-College Station, Texas. She is pictured here with some of the children's leaders in her class.
We had share night at BSF and my favorite thing was to hear several ladies share that they used to read the Bible like a history book but BSF has taught them how to apply it to their lives!
Storm in Oklahoma
BSF headquarters grieves with the people of Moore, Okla., and their families after the devastating tornado on May 20. BSF has a Day Women's Class and an Evening Men’s Class in Moore. The area advisor there reports that leaders and their immediate families are safe. A group leader in the men’s class lost his home but is praising God for protection of his family. Leaders are still working to account for all class members. The host church for the women’s class has become a shelter, and BSF leaders are working to take food to the church for the people staying there. The community and the host church have already received an overwhelming response from volunteers who want to help. Pray for an ability to quickly and efficiently organize the volunteers in a way that will best meet the needs of the people. Pray as well God will enable our leaders and class members in this hurting community to be a source of comfort to the men, women and children with whom they have contact. May their words and actions be a message of love and support, and point to a loving God and Father.
Pastors in Northern Ireland
BSF hosted a pastors event in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on April 20, 2013. BSF has just one small class in Belfast, an Evening Women's class, but there were 55 pastors in attendance to hear about BSF's aim to serve and support the church. Executive Director Susie Rowan was able to attend and give a live presentation. Please pray for our Northern Ireland class and BSF's continued growth in this country!
